Sound Healing is a holistic therapy where people “bathe” in sound to achieve a state of deep relaxation and balance within the body and mind. It uses the vibrations produced by instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks chimes, bells, harp and more to promote relaxation, improve mental and emotional well-being, and help manage pain bringing the body back to its natural state.
Some of the positive effects of a sound experience include:
I lead Sound Baths, where participants are immersed in the soothing sounds of Native American style flute, bells, chimes, singing bowls, healing piano music and more.
I also lead workshops in vocal toning for healing, which stresses deep breathing, SubtleYoga, visualization, and chanting.
A Sound Healing workshop or Sound Bath is typically 1 hour 15 min. It can be done in a group or one on one.
I am certified in Sound Healing, and also have additional certification in Acutonics (study of tuning forks,) Korean Hand Therapy, and SubtleYoga. My healing music can be found on Spotify and Pandora, and my album “Canopy of Blue,” is currently being streamed in South Korea.
In my work with older adults I incorporate singing and playing well-loved songs, along with elements of sound healing, focusing on positive thinking, easy chair yoga, and listening to relaxing and soothing instruments.
Relaxing muscles with the vibrations of the tuning forks.
Playing my Native American Style Flute in front of a water fall.
Playing the harp at a Sound Bath at a church.
Leading a Sound Healing workshop for an arts group.
